At Crafts with Meaning, sustainability is built into how we design, source and manufacture our products.
As a circular manufacturing company, we look for opportunities to reduce waste, extend the life of materials and create greater value from resources that might otherwise be discarded. Our product development process considers not only how a product looks and performs, but also the materials it uses and the resources required to make it.
We work with a range of reclaimed, recycled, biodegradable, renewable and responsibly sourced materials, selected according to the needs of each product.
Where possible, we source suitable fabrics directly from manufacturers, allowing us to develop durable, high-quality products while making more considered material choices.
Our approach also draws on the materials and skills available within our local value chain. Through our network of artisans, natural materials such as sisal, raffia and coconut-based fibres are transformed into contemporary products through skilled craftsmanship. This creates value from locally available resources while supporting livelihoods and strengthening local production ecosystems.
For us, sustainable manufacturing is about finding better ways to make products without compromising on quality or functionality while reducing pressure on natural resources, keeping materials in use for longer and creating products that deliver commercial, environmental and social value.
Better materials. Thoughtful design. Meaningful impact.
