CAROLINE E. N. NG’ANG’A (CPA)
FOUNDER AND CEO
Caroline is a Social Entrepreneur with a strong desire to see the economic empowerment of underserved people, especially those below the radar of conventional employment.
She is the Founder and CEO of Crafts with Meaning, a vehicle she is using to economically empower artisans in Kenya and onwards into other African countries by standardizing their production and thereafter helping them to secure markets abroad.
An Accountant and Chartered Mediator by training, she has 10 years experience working for various corporates in Kenya. She also serves as a Non-Executive director at Tourism Fund, a government owned corporation in Kenya.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nairobi and an MBA from the United States International University-Africa.
In recognition of the work she is doing, Caroline was named as one of the Top 40 under 40 women in Kenya in 2018.
She is an avid traveler, a golfer and a singer.
PETER NJENGA (CPA )
BOARD DIRECTOR
Peter is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya a qualification he earned at Strathmore University in 1998.
Thereafter he worked as a Tax/ Management consultant in a leading audit firm for four years.
He has over fifteen years’ experience in senior level management in large commercial enterprises where he has assisted businesses develop and implement appropriate strategies to achieve Financial, Tax and Operational efficiency.
He is highly knowledgeable in finance structuring and fundraising.
HOPE MAINA
BOARD DIRECTOR
Hope Maina is a branding enthuse whose passion is to see brands thrive. She is the founder of Brand Mania Limited, a Kenyan branding agency formed a decade ago and whose focus was and still is to help create, develop, maintain and improve brands.
Hope has a post graduate in Human Resources Management from the University of Nairobi, a bachelor’s degree International Relations graduate from United States International University (USIU), a diploma in Information Technology from Jomo Kenyatta university of Agriculture and Technology and currently pursing a diploma course in Interior Design from the Interior Design Institute.
She has previously served as an assistant training coordinator at the African Institute for Capacity Develop under the JICA flagship and personal assistant to the DVC- Academic Affairs at USIU.
Hope thinks in colour and loves adventure! She enjoys arranging things in new ways and finds beauty in everyday situations and appreciates decorative art and handmade crafts.
MIKE MURIGI
BOARD DIRECTOR
Michael has 7 years of experience working in monitoring, evaluation and research assignments, both quantitative and qualitative, in collaboration with International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie), Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP), Amsterdam Institute for International Development, University of Amsterdam, and University of Sydney among other institutions.
The research projects include: the ITC-funded PRESM project that used RCT to evaluate the impact of contract farming in Kenya’s avocado sector and the 3ie-funded project to evaluate interventions to build competitiveness of the banana sector in Kenya.
He is a PhD candidate at the School of Economics, University of Nairobi and a published author with a bias towards Agricultural Economics, Development Economics, Environmental Economics and Economics of Climate Change.
His other academic achievements include master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Economics from the University of Nairobi; professional certification in monitoring and impact evaluation from Laval University, Canada; training in statistical packages and impact evaluation from the University of Nairobi and the University of Sydney.
He is currently the resident economist at the Public Private partnership department at the national treasury in Kenya.
ANNE GATHUMBI

Ann has international experience working in Philanthropy to advance Human rights, good governance and rule of law.
She has dedicated her career to defending the rights of those discriminated against.
She has experience in program design and strategy development, program management, strategic planning and visioning, advocacy, lobbying, capacity building, media engagement, networking and alliance building.
